SIGHT is an EU FP6 STReP project (IST priority 2.5.2), which began in October 2006 and runs for 36 months.

SIGHT: Systems for in-situ theranostics using micro-particles triggered by ultra-sound.

SIGHT consists of 10 academic and industrial organizations from 5 countries. Its main objective is the design of multifunctional ultrasound contrast agents as supporting devices for theranostics, i.e. for both diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, in pathologies including thrombosis, tissue repairing and cancer therapies. CBNI is leading Workpackage 5, which is addressing the biocompatibility of the devices using advanced technologies.
